i don't know why i am writing this blog entry right now.

i should actually be asleep, in my sweetest and deepest dreams, from which i always get ripped out brutally when my alarm clock goes off in the - always way too soon coming - morning. But you know how it's like, morning: you feel and look like the walking dead, why did i have to stay up so long?! today i'm going to bed earlier! all day: dying, in the afternoon: starting to awake, in the evening: f* getting up tomorrow, PARTYYYY! and the next morning you're the walking dead again. story of my life.

anywhooooooooo, what was i going to talk about? ah yeah, me :D

so there was homecoming, which was a pretty cool experience :) but we lost the homecoming game, which was depressing. and somebody still has to explain me why the homecoming game is like one of the last games of the season... i thought it was like about the team coming home to play for the whole season? oh wait, that actually doesn't make a lot of sense.. hmm maybe it's because they're coming home from playing all season? oh well, i gotta ask somebody. this friday is gonna be the last football game. that means it's gonna be the last game i will ever cheer in my entire life. this is so sad :( i feel like the season just started, and now it already ends again.. i guess that just shows how this year is going to go by so fast. :(

and then there was the dance :) the dance actually wasn't even the big thing, it was just the whole day of dressing up and getting ready and taking pictures and everything which left the huge impression on me. it's just like you're in a whole different world for that entire day. it's like cinderella. no wait, i don't even really know the cinderella story, so i can't compare it with cinderella. what other princesses are there? oh verdammt i can't think of any princess. but you get what i want to say, i'm talking about princesses, and how you feel like one all day :)

and at the dance, it was awesome to see all the pretty dresses :D i want them to be allllllll mine!!!!!!!! dressssssessssss come to mammmmmmmmaaaa!!! lol.

and i have a ton of pictures from homecoming, but since im lazy and its 11pm i won't put 'em up tonight. and actually, why do i put pictures on here that everybody can see on facebook anyways? it's a pain in the butt, ya knooow. well ok, it makes it all pretty, all shiny and sparkly in here lol. and i like shiny and sparkly and pretty. but not tonight. maybe tomorrow?

so i guess that's it for tonight. you're gonna hear from me again when my life decides to be interesting. which i hope it's gonna continue being through this whole year. oh, and i counted for how many days i've been here now. it's been 71 days today!! wow!! this seems like a lot!! 71 down, some more to go :D and i'm gonna enjoy every single one of it! take the best out of every single day, no matter what crappy situation i might be going through. live on top of all the ups and be friendly and kind to all the downs, so they get ups again quick. (yeah if you think of a down as a mad kitten which u just have to pet a lot so it becomes a nice kitten, your name might be ina ^^) but no, i was saying that's it for tonight.

I ain't here for a long time, I'm here for a good time. (some random countrysong hehe)

Hello friendssss :)

i know, it's been a long time since i last wrote something. a lot's been going on and im really busy. I'm living life here :) and I've been here for almost 2 months now :) there's days when im so proud of myself! days when i think hell yeah, go girl :D but there's also days when im down and pissed. but i guess all the emotions just come with this whole experience.

So i have some more footballgames cheering behind me, some more, some less fun. yeah, it's starting to get coooooold.... :/ and i tell you, cheering while your teeth and your whole body is shaking isn't that much fun..

one time i went to a bunfire/hayride (es lagerfüür und sonen traktor wo en ahhänger het und de ahhänger het hoi drinn und denn zieht eim de traktor umenand :D)from the church of a friend. the hayride made me wanna be a farmer xD yeah and she goes like, ina, you're weird.

and last week, kristen got her car :) its a 2012 baby blue chevy cruze and were cruising around in it like chiefs ;) im pretty happy that she got it, because it gives also me a lot of new freedoms :) sweet excitement :)

and there was the little girls cheer day. those were the little girls, like 1graders to like 6graders, and we cheerleaders had to teach them cheers which they were supposed to show at the jv game :) those girls loved me and i love them :))) haha, one was like, mommmmy can we keep her :D but the day of the jv game, the whole thing got canceled due to bad weather. its now in a week or so. excited to see the girls again :) and i got my first own cheerleading shirt ^^

and then we went to ARIZONA :D actually i was meant to stay home, at a friends house, while kristen and rebekkah would be going to arizona to see some really close friends. but then we figured it would be fun for me, so i could come :) i even got to miss friday and monday of school :) the flight to arizona was about 4 hours and arizona has like 3 hours time difference to michigan. does this give you an idea of how big this country is? when we got off the plane, it was like you got blow-dryed. and it stayed like that all the time. well, that's arizona weather :) not to compare to freezing michigan..^^ we had a blast in arizona :) saw some pretty amazing karate, i wanna totally start it again now! and i got to touch the desert!! everybody was teasing me cause i wanted to touch the desert, they were like heck girl thats just dry dirt. ah shut up, desert is desert!! and switzerland doesn't have that many deserts, so ;) the "mountains" in arizona kinda made me feel at home. haha now i know what heidi feels like.

and i'm soooo excited for homecoming!!! but i actually don't really know what to expect.. ^^ haha and i can't dance ^^ funnnnn stuffff.. well, we'll see. and cause im a cheerleader, i get to walk in the parade and all that stuff :D well now i just have to make sure i dont mess up.. and there's also that peprally (kei ahnig wie mer das schriibt) where we have to cheer before the game and people will be doing weird games and i have no idea what that is..^^yeah i'm confused a lot. there's times where i stand around and go like aaaaaaaaaaaaah someone please help me i'm confuuuuuuused. ^^ but people are nice and help me :)

highschool life

This is my second attempt of writing this entry. i already wrote the whole one yesterday on my iphone (yupp, theres an app for everything!!) but i failed horribly. after almost finishing it, i pressed something on my phone and it deleted everything. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. i was mad! but anyways, i am big enough to get over it (yesyes, in my mind..). So here we go.

Highschool started on last wednesday and there is already a lot to tell. I was really nervous before i walked into the school! the first schoolday was kinda hard, i mean imagine u walk in a classroom and u dont know a single face, who would u sit next to, who would u talk to, and about what?? so that was one problem, another one was the school itsself. it confused me, i didnt know where my classes were and i always forgot how to get to my locker (das ding womer sini buecher ine tuet!). but its getting better, by know i mostly know where (today i failed and walked the wrong way but u know how that is, u dont want people to see that u walk the wrong way so i didnt turn around and carried my tons of books through the whole school..) my classes are and i find my locker! opening it is another story.. ^^ and highschool is also stricter than i expected. u cant use ur cellphonne anywhere at school, not even in the hallways, u never leave school during the schoolday (eat lunch there) and i think u would be in trouble if u did, and u get plus or minus points for everything u do and those points get converted in grades... and the weirdest thing: ur not allowed to put ur books into a bag which u take from class to class, no, u have to go to ur locker and put everything in there and carrie around everything that u need. but thats mostly quite a lot, too much for me to handle without a bag xD but people at school are really nice to me! its pretty cool to be an exchange student :) I get to know a lot of people :D i mean i still wander the hallways at school mostly alone (sounds dramatic) but by know, there are people which i recognize and i walk by some people and they say hi to me, awwwww thats so great. gotta enjoy the little things in life!!! :D

so im gonna tell u about my daily life :)

i get up at like 6o'clock and get ready for school, take hours to decide what to wear and stuff like that.

then i make my lunch (sandwich) i bring it everyday cause it saves a lot of money but mainly cause i dont wanna wait for hours to buy my food in the cafeteria.. i did that on the first day of school, and since im not the fastest kid in school, my place in the queue was quite far in the back and i almost died from starvation. but back to my daily life.

im at school at like 7.20, that leaves me 10 minutes to go to my locker, but all my stuff in there and take the books that i need. then i walk to my class.

1 hour: spanish. hehe beryll now i probably finally know that i gotta say de nada ;)

2 hour: english. and oh man, we just have 5 minutes time between the hours. and its so funny, im always the last one to get out of class.. as soon as the bell rings everybody jumps up and runs outta class. im like grabbing all my stuff together, try to handle it, it all falls on the floor, i say damn it, pick it up again and finally leave the empty classroom. funnnnnn ^^.

3 hour: applied chemistry

4 hour: US history.

and then i have lunch, where i first get my sandwich out of the locker (i already forgot to take it out of my locker once. isnt that the stupidest thing to do? i mean i go there because of my sandwich...) and then eat with a bunch of kids in the cafeteria :)

5 hour: choir

6 hour: geometry

7 hour: aerobics. man thats funny :) we watch an aerobics workout dvd and do the stuff the person in there does hahahahahahah but actually kinda hard!!

after that i have cheerleading :D

and when i finally get home im exhausted to death. and if im lucky i dont have to fight crickets.

last friday, i cheered at a football game again :) it was the first homegame so i was pretty excited and nervous. but im actually getting to really know all the cheers! u cant imagine what good feeling that is!!!!!!! aaaaaaaaand: i based in the pyramids AAAAAAAAAAAH :) (die luet wo die andere luet ufelupfet) daaaaaaamn i was sooooo proud! i still am :)

at home, kristen and i are playing wii dance a lot. i love it, even though im probably not the most gifted dancer that game has ever seen. ;) haha once the song viva las vegas came up and ur supposed to swing ur arm above ur head and i hit myself with the wii remote control. we were balling!!!!

yesterday, kristen, rebekah, and i went shopping at 12 oaks mall. i tell u, shopping lovers, its heaven there! i believed i could here the angels singing (leck bruch ich schoeni usdrueck) when i walked in there and all of a sudden was surrounded by hollister, love culture, pink, forever21, abercrombie, and a loooooot more stores to die for! its a huuuuuuuge mall! and i was quite successful ;) after that, we also went in some halloween stores because i was allways annoying my hostfamily with ideas for halloween costumes ^^ i just love to dress up. :) and hell yeah, it was sooooooo much fun, ask kristen about it ^^ but no, there will no pictures be showed ;)(actually i didnt even take some ^^ selfprotection, u know)

I'm in the United States since the 9th of August now. I spent the days until the 13th of August in a camp in NEW YORK!!!!!! That's a weekly camp, organised from Into, my exchange organisation, which all Into-students attend before they go to their host-families. I'm glad I wasn't in the camp when Irene came to NY! That camp was a lot of fun, but also very exhausting because we had to walk around a lot. I tell you, do not try to see all of New York in 3 days...!!!! In the evening we were all tired to death! But there were many fun people :D I had a great time.

The 13th of August, I flew from New York (La Guardia;LGA) to Detroit (Detroit Metro Wayne County;DTW). My host family picked me up there and welcomed me warmly.

And since then, the US state Michigan is what I will call my home for one year. The house here is really small and it's really near lake Erie, so it also doesn't have a basement. Uhh if a tornado'd come we'd be pretty much screwed... And yes, the nuclear power plants are near.. really near. ^^

I joined the cheerleaders. And it's a predjudice that they are all mean and arrogant and cocky!! Far from it! They all came up to me and kindly included me in the team. All very nice girls! But yeah, they are all pretty! And huh, the cheer uniforms should be sexy?! hahahahah no, not ours!!! We even wear a bodysuit ( sones engs ding wo langärmlig isch und en rollchrage het..) I already cheered at two football games. :D But I tell you, it's kinda hard! You have to remember all the cheers and crowdlines with the motions and the words, be tight, AND smile. hahahahah and I soooooo don't understand football ^^.

But a lot of the time, we're just being lazy and watching tv. Well, I guess that's just the way life is here. School starts September 7th, that's tomorrow. I'm excited for that :D weird, I know, that I'm excited for school. ^^ But I'm also a little afraid.. hehe I have my outfit ready, all the stuff packed and I know where my locker is. What could possibly go wrong? ;) OK, a lot, if your name's Ina.... ^^ I really think it's gonna get a loooot busier then.

and yeah, everybody laughs because of my accent. I'm, once again, "cuuuuuuuute". Been there.. ^^
